File/Web security, and how some people don't use it

To be honest, almost anything that is published on a computer/server besides your own has a chance of being seen/read by someone else....especially a web server. Take Facebook for instance, one of the newest and largest community sites out there. By default it will publish your information to the world unless you setup privacy settings. You can go down to the extent of blocking specific people or groups from seeing things, or only allow specific people or groups to see things.

Just because you don't advertise the site to anyone doesn't mean it's not available to be seen, especially with the way search engines work these, trolling over every possible link to add into their search database. Someone else can then just search your name and get lots of info about you - and your identical twin that has a better career in another country :-).

15 Years Ago... Oh The Memories

Well here I sit in my apartment, typing on my laptop - something that's so comfortable to me, it's like a part of me.

Tonight/tomorrow morning will mark the 15th anniversary of my brothers peaceful passing after a brutal fight with leukemia. 15 years ago a great part of my life changed.
15 years ago my family changed.
15 years ago a wonderful person gave his one last breath;
leaving this world behind to find himself in a more peaceful/happy place.
No more painful treatments.
No more frequent trips to the hospital.
No more wondering when it's going to stop;
just dealing with the thoughts on why it had to happen like this.

Being the youngest of 6 kids in my family has it's positives and it's negatives. One large negative is that I never got to be as close to my other siblings, as much as I tried to be friends and hang out with them, they had their own friends and things to do.

A Fond Farewell To A Friend

There comes a time in everyone's life where you must say good-bye to someone that you know. Actually it happens many times throughout ones life. Though it does seem to make you think about why some people's time is so soon, with so many positive things going for them. I've known people that have struggled and fought a deadly disease, some have lived through the fight, others not so fortunate. Then there are people that manage to win the fight, yet lose to something different without knowing it existed.
